I still can't add the prorated Family Plan to my account. When I bought iPhone 3G for me wife and I, we purchased the Family plan (which was activated in the Apple store by an Apple employee. After that, they tried to apply the proration to add my wife. No dice. Still doesn't work 3 weeks later. Just gets stuck on the last web page where you enter the credit card. I've called to complain at Apple CS and even filed a bug on the bug reporter. All I get is "yeah, it doesn't work for me either!"... Yeesh!! Piko

Yeah, and while you're at it, uncheck the "User can admin this machine" option. You clearly have no business with root-equiv privileges... This doesn't even warrant an entire article let alone all the commentary... :P Andrew

Actually it's much more insecure than that. Just boot in to "single user" mode (press and hold the Command and "S" keys during the boot process). Once booted enter these commands: # sh /etc/rc # passwd # reboot Voila, root user password changed. Moral of the story, like all computers, never let your Mac out of your site. Or, always keep it physically secure. Piko
